Straight from the early 60s pages of SCHOOL FRIEND (Britain's friendliest paper for girls in school) comes Dilly Dreem, the bespectacled young schoolgirl who is always getting out the "jump to conclusions" mat - with hilarious consequences!

But what can we learn about international relations from DILLY DREEM? Is there a slight mistrust of foreigners lurking deep within the English psyche? Pshaw, you say. However - let us examine this issue from deep within Dilly's overheated imagination!

Naturally Americans will, at the drop of a hat, construct enormous skyscrapers decorated on top with the Statue Of Liberty! And play baseball.

Ordinary students will be transformed into cigar-smoking hipsters, flaunting their buzz-cuts and their sunglasses as they infest our tuckshops with their "cookies" and "gum".

I love this panel. "Get a load of this, kids!" It's almost too much for Dilly Dreem to bear!

Luckily Dilly always has her KEEP BRITAIN BRITISH pushcart at the ready. Anti-American signage can be changed quickly to reflect whatever foreign nation currently threatens Britain.

And of course it all turns out to be a hilarious misunderstanding. Sure, ma'am! Today's lecture at Blunt's School For Girls: COMBAT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LOCKHEED F-104 STARFIGHTER.
