We all love comic books and expect crazy storylines and fantastical happenings, but sometimes even comic books push things a bit too far and expect us to believe the clearly impossible.

Okay, sure at one point in history people actually enjoyed reading "Archie & Me", I'll buy that.

Here we see - OR RATHER WE DON'T! - the value of proper night light placement and perhaps some glow in the dark accents to add just the right touch of safety to the typical child's bedroom. So this is all fairly realistic.

Would LI'L JINX cartoonist Joe Edwards ignore the conventional rules of comics and expand the panel shapes and borders to suit the needs of his story however he saw fit? Yes he would!

And would an Archie comic break the fourth wall and have its own characters become aware of their existence as cartoon characters? Sure, why not?

Does the realization of the true nature of your world and everything in it pale next to the excitement of finding out what happens to Archie next? Sure, if you're Li'l Jinx. I'll buy that.

And - I know this is going to be tough to swallow, but bear with me - would in fact Li'l Jinx display her characteristic penchant for troublemaking in a manner befitting her location next to a giant inkwell? Of course she would.

OKAY. WAITAMINIT. FULL STOP. It takes a whole WEEK to draw ONE PAGE OF ARCHIE COMICS??? THAT, I simply do NOT BUY.

"A little girl, sleepy and confused. Did she actually take a trip through the doorway of imagination and confront the ink-stained fingers of her very creator? Or was it just a slight detour - through THE TWILIGHT Z-- no wait, that's a Gold Key comic. Never mind."
