Tonight we have a Superman team-up that failed to have quite the impact his adventures with his pal Batman did. Of course, when the entire purpose behind the team-up is to sell powdery chocolate drink mix, you can only expect so much, particularly when your new partner is drawn in a completely different style.
That's right, Superman and the Quik Bunny teamed up not to fight litter but to fight the Weather Wizard, possibly the lamest villain in the history of giveaway promotional comics.
See what I mean? Lame. He makes the Green Arrow look totally cool in comparison. However he manages to create a block of ice so powerful even Superman can't break out of it. I guess too much of that powdered chocolate milk has weakened his superpowers.
AWESOME! TOTALLY RAD!! I don't care that this came from the 80s, there is no point in history that dialogue wouldn't sound phony. And of course, our first glimpse of the Quik Bunny is doing what he does best, whoring himself out for his product. Take a good look at that box of Quik mix behind him; you'll be seeing it a lot in this comic.
See what I mean? It's pretty sad when the best-drawn thing in the whole comic is a box of drink mix.
HELP SUPERMAN BY HELPING HIM HELP TO SELL MORE OF THIS CRAP.
This ethnically-diverse group of 10 year olds was evidently created in a lab to present the perfect blend of advanced technical knowledge and 70s-style Kid Power-esque racial harmony. Except there's no Semites.
He knows all about codes! Black hanky in the right pocket means BDSM... oh, he knows all about language codes too.
Hey, look, a Semite! well, close enough. Yeah, I can help him figure out the code-- it says "Leave me out of this cheap advertisement for your sugar powder, infidel. I will not whore for you."
Oh, whatever will we do? What we do in every crisis, of course... guzzle down more Quik chocolate milk! I'm very suspicious about that bunny's rapid mood swings. I think those kids are maybe slipping some crank into that drink. That would explain the thing with the ears.
Oh, Superman. Have you no shame?
